Evolution Marketing offers a consumer version of it's popular Cord Caddy cable organizing system

Evolution Marketing is a company that provides solutions to cable organization problems.  "Chord chaos" is a common problem resulting form the connections and cables extending from medical equipment, laboratory equipment, and other high technology installations. Evolution Marketing offers a new version of it's commercial line of Cord Caddy products for the consumer market.

Bruce Glass, company founder and President, is the talented inventor who first recognized and then solved the problem of "Spaghetti Syndrome". The original commercial version of the Cord Caddy is now deployed in over 250 hospitals across the country.

Bruce was the first to recognize the mess of cords that hospitals deal with from all the medical monitor equipment vital to emergency rooms, ICUs, operating rooms and other critical care patient areas. Prior to the Cord Caddy, hospitals were subjected to dangling and entangled cords that made application of the monitor leads to patients inefficient. Nurses were forced to waste valuable time identifying the right cord from an unorganized mess. In addition, the "spaghetti syndrome" produced patient areas that were unsightly as well as a challenge when it came to infection control.

History Behind the First Generation Cord Caddy

In January 1998, Bruce established his company Evolution Medical Products, Inc. He developed a patent for an aluminum Cord Caddy that could accommodate and individually store multiple medical monitor leads and cords. Among other unique characteristics, the Cord Caddy features a release mechanism that saves valuable time for medical personnel; when a specific cord is needed, a rotating hook allows for its instant release.

The original Cord Caddy is designed for a commercial environment.  The mechanisms are constructed of aluminum and are designed to withstand heavy duty use on a regular basis.  The units are also attached to custom aluminum mounting plates.

Premier of Second Generation Cord Caddy

With the rapid onset of technology products in the consumer market, cord organization is equally a problem.  Consumers need a more cost effective product tailored to the home and small business environment. Spaghetti Syndrome can be found behind office desks, home entertainment areas, and various other industrial and commercial office areas. By August 2002, the  Cord Caddy was redesigned in a plastic, consumer friendly and less expensive model so that it could have expanded applications in all these different business or home environments.

The aluminum hospital version of the Cord Caddy,  includes a monitor-specific mounting bracket, and retails for about $200.00 depending upon the size unit. Initially, there is one size of the second generation consumer version which retails for around $16.00 and is available in black or clear high impact plastic.
